Admission Procedures

I. INTRODUCTION
The college imparts 5 years’ Bachelor Degree Course in Architecture (B. Arch.).  The institution is affiliated to the University of Calicut.  The syllabus of the course is determined by the University of Calicut.
 
II. NUMBER OF SEATS
Total Seats: 60 (30 Merit Seats and 30 Management Seats)
 
III. ADMISSION
Admission is offered only to eligible candidates as per the prevailing University and Council of Architecture norms. 
a) Candidate must have attained 17 years of age as on 31st December of that particular year.  
b) No candidate shall be admitted to Architecture course unless he/she has passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with at least 50 per cent aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination
or
Passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate.
c) In addition to the above, only those candidates who score the minimum eligibility marks as per the Information Brochure of National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) of that particular year or JEE will be eligible for admission to B. Arch. Course. 
d) Candidates may note that no direct lateral admission is allowed at any year/semester/stage of B.Arch. course based on any qualification.
 
IV. ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Originals of all certificates/documents enclosed with the application should be submitted to the college at the time of admission.  Physical Fitness Certificate (from Government Hospital in the prescribed format), Conduct & Character Certificate and Transfer Certificate (all in original) should be submitted to the college at the time of admission.  The candidate should pay the fee in full at the time of admission.
 
V. DISCONTINUATION OF THE COURSE AND PAYMENT OF LIQUIDATED DAMAGES
If any candidate discontinues the course after closing of admissions or the last date of admission mentioned in the agreement with the Government for admission to B. Arch. course by the Architecture Colleges Management Association (ACMA), the candidate has to pay liquidated damages to the tune of full fee of the course.  The student shall have the claim for TC and other certificates only after clearing all the dues.
 
VI. ACADEMIC RULES AND REGULATIONS
The college will function from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. for all semesters, with one hour break from 12 noon to 1 pm for lunch.  Saturdays and Sundays are usually holidays for the college.  Uniforms are compulsory on all working days inside the college campus.  Any student violating the rule may not be allowed in the campus and may be fined accordingly.  An identity card with photograph will be issued to all students. Students must always wear the same when they are inside the college campus and must produce the same for inspection.  Students are expected to attend all classes without fail.  Every student is required to maintain a minimum of 75% attendance and 50% minimum separately for each subject for each semester, failing which the student cannot appear for the University examination.

13) Income Certificate (if applicable)
14) Caste Certificate (if applicable)
15) Eligibility Certificate from any University in Kerala (in the case of candidates who passed the qualifying examination other than Higher Secondary/Vocational Examination conducted by CBSE & CISCE)
